We process personal data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The data is processed in the EU; Switzerland and the EU recognise each other's level of data protection as adequate.

Representative in the EU

We are established in Switzerland. Where the GDPR applies, we have appointed the following representative in the European Economic Area pursuant to Art. 27 GDPR: VGS Datenschutzpartner GmbH, Am Kaiserkai 69, 20457 Hamburg, Germany, info@datenschutzpartner.eu. You can always contact us directly as well.

Hosting

This website runs on a server in the EU. When you visit it, the web server processes technically necessary data (IP address, time, requested page, browser identifier) to deliver the page. This data is not stored in log files. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in delivering the website securely.

Analytics with Umami

We use the self-hosted open-source software Umami for audience measurement, including clicks on buttons and scroll depth. Umami sets no cookies and stores no personal data; IP addresses are not stored. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Email notifications

When you sign up, we process your email address, the selected language, the time of signup and confirmation and the version of the consent text, and – where present – the place on the page where you signed up, a plan you chose before and the campaign parameters of the link you followed (utm_*). We use this to inform you about this product and to evaluate which offers attract interest. Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

To prevent abuse, we process your IP address when you sign up in order to limit the number of signups. It is held in memory only, not stored, and discarded after one hour at the latest. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

We use double opt-in: you are only added once you click the link in our confirmation email. Unconfirmed signups are deleted after 7 days.

Emails are sent via Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg), processing in the Frankfurt am Main data center, as our processor. The recipient list is managed with the self-hosted software Listmonk on our server.

You can withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email or by email to the address above. Your data is then deleted.

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Please contact the email address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, or with the data protection authority of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement in the EEA.
